A Learning and Development Specialist is required to join a leading defence company on a permanent basis in Chippenham. You will be responsible for designing, delivering, and assessing a wide range of training and development programmes for staff across the business unit. This includes accredited qualifications such as AET, CET, CAVA, and IQA, as well as technical, behavioural, and leadership courses. You will play a key role in supporting trainers and delivery staff through coaching, mentoring, and continuous professional development.

The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain SC security clearance, hold a Level 5 (or above) teaching qualification, Level 3 Assessor (CAVA), Level 4 IQA, and a Level 3 Coaching and Mentoring qualification. You must also have experience working in an education/training capacity within an apprenticeship or commercial training environment. A strong understanding of learning environments, regulatory frameworks, and the use of digital tools to deliver innovative training is essential. You should be confident communicating with internal stakeholders and external regulators, and comfortable delivering both in-person and virtual training sessions. Travel to other delivery sites may be required as part of the role, therefore having a driving license and car is also essential.
