Learning Mentor - Full-Time - Shirley (B90) - October 2025 Start

Are you looking for a fresh start this autumn and the chance to make a real difference? A welcoming SEN school in Shirley is seeking a compassionate and committed Learning Mentor to join their team from October 2025.

This is a full-time role supporting students aged 4-19 with additional needs including Autism and ADHD. The school takes pride in its nurturing, student-focused approach, blending academic learning with life skills so that every young person can thrive.

• Building positive relationships and providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils

• Encouraging confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing

• Assisting with tailored lessons and structured activities to meet individual needs

• Supporting communication, social skills, and behaviour in a calm, consistent way

• Working closely with teachers, families, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes

• Has experience supporting children or young people with Autism, ADHD, or additional needs

• Brings a calm, patient, and adaptable approach

• Communicates clearly and confidently, with strong behaviour management strategies

• Can respond flexibly to individual pupil needs

• Holds a Level 2 or 3 qualification in education/support - though relevant experience and the right attitude matter most

• Guidance and support from a friendly, specialist consultant
