Are you passionate about supporting children and helping them overcome barriers to learning?

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join a friendly and supportive primary school in the B1 area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support with their learning, confidence, emotional wellbeing and behaviour.

The Role:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils across the school.
Build positive, trusting relationships with children to help improve confidence and self-esteem.
Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
Help children develop strategies to overcome challenges both inside and outside the classroom.
Work closely with teachers, SEND staff and pastoral teams to support pupil progress.
Monitor and record pupil development, wellbeing and achievements.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children in a school, mentoring, youth work or support setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, caring and resilient nature.
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Experience supporting children with SEND, SEMH or challenging behaviour is desirable.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
