1:1 Learning Support Assistant Required

Protocol Education is currently recruiting a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide 1:1 support for pupils within a welcoming and inclusive school in Southend-on-Sea.

This rewarding role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and socially.

The Role

Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning needs.
Assisting with classroom activities and lesson participation.
Supporting the pupil's emotional, social, and academic development.
Encouraging independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support progress.
Promoting a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
Experience supporting pupils with SEND is advantageous.
A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
