• Pay: £85-100 per day (Based on experience)

• Hours: Full-time (08:30-15:00, Term-time only)

Academics are working with a wonderful specialist school in Abingdon that support children and young people aged 2-19 with complex learning needs. This wonderful school are looking for a bubbly learning support assistant to join their incredible team on a full-time basis, ASAP. This school prides itself in offering a tailored and specialized education to meet the individual needs of each student. A learning support assistant would play a vital role in supporting the education and development of the students.

The day-to-day role of a Learning Support Assistant:

• Supporting the personal, social and educational development of the students
• Promoting inclusion and helping students to feel valued
• Encouraging independence and confidence both socially and academically
• Monitoring progress and reporting back to a wider team in order to provide high-quality care
• Emotionally supporting the students and helping them to regulate their emotions

You would be a great learning support assistant if you:

• Have excellent communication skills and can work both independently and collaboratively in a team
• Have at least a grade C/ Level 4 GCSE in Maths and English
• Can remain calm, empathetic and patient in challenging situations
• Has previous experience working with children (Desired but not essential)
• Is passionate about working with children with special educational needs
