Learning Support Assistant (Resourced Provision) – Secondary School in Fareham

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a secondary school in Fareham, working within their specialist resourced provision. This full-time role offers the chance to be part of a nurturing and forward-thinking educational environment where every child is supported to thrive.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant in the school’s resourced provision, you will be providing tailored support to students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) – many of whom have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). You will:

• Work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff, and therapy professionals
• Provide 1:1 and small group support both in the provision and in mainstream classrooms
• Promote independence, emotional regulation, and positive learning behaviours
• Foster a calm, inclusive and structured environment tailored to individual student needs

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally in an SEN or inclusion setting
• Demonstrate patience, resilience, and empathy in supporting students with additional needs
• Be confident in using strategies that support communication, sensory needs and emotional wellbeing
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
