Learning Support Assistant - Full Time - Chiswick - Temp to Perm - September Start

We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work full time at a special needs school based in Chiswick. This is an independent school that provides education that is catered to the personalised needs of each learner with moderate learning difficulties (MLD). Focusing on a holistic curriculum that is guided by a team of Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists to ensure each learner can unlock their full potential.

Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:

• Maintain safeguarding/health and safety policies of the school

• Adapt learning support to meet the personalised needs of each learner

• Understand how ASD can create barriers to learning and how to overcome them

• Use positive behaviour techniques

• Encourage self regulation, social communication and independence

• Support on a 1:1 basis

• Assist with personal care if required
