About the role: Prospero Teaching are seeking a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a successful secondary school in Upminster. Working with students aged 11-16, you will provide both classroom and small group support for pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, and social development needs. The school offers a range of targeted interventions and social hub provisions designed to promote confidence, independence and positive social interaction.
We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
Support students with additional learning needs in lessons across the curriculum Deliver targeted interventions to support academic progress and personal development Encourage communication, confidence and engagement in learning Assist pupils in developing social skills through structured support programmes and social hubs Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff and pastoral teams Promote a positive, inclusive and safe learning environmentRequirements -
The ideal candidate would have:
Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs Knowledge of Moderate Learning Difficulties and Speech, Language and Communication Needs A patient, empathetic and proactive approach Strong communication and relationship-building skills The ability to work effectively as part of a team A commitment to safeguarding and supporting young peopleOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
