Job Description - Learning Support Assistant SEN

Student Support Mentor – Learning Support Assistant

?? Cambridge | ?? £20,065 per annum

?? Your Role Will Involve:

Offering tailored support to learners with a range of educational and emotional needs, including those with support plans.
Adapting learning resources to suit individual needs—for example, modifying instructions or providing additional guidance.
Delivering support in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, both inside and outside the classroom.
Working closely with tutors and staff to refine learning strategies and maximise student progress.
Taking part in training and development to strengthen your professional skills.

? What We’re Looking For:

A supportive and flexible person who can build strong relationships with young people.
Someone who communicates clearly and works well with others.
A team player comfortable in an active, vocational environment—such as workshops or practical learning spaces.
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the role.

? Requirements:

GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
Experience working with young people or supporting additional needs is helpful, but not essential—we value your mindset and willingness to make a difference most of all.
