Job Title - Computing Lecturer

Role Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across a range of Digital and Computing programmes.
Design and implement schemes of work and learning activities that promote achievement and progression.
Monitor learner progress and provide timely assessment and feedback.
Foster an inclusive learning environment that motivates students to reach their full potential.
Support learners both academically and pastorally throughout their studies.
Maintain accurate records relating to attendance, achievement and learner outcomes.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
Utilise digital technologies and blended learning approaches to enrich the student experience.
Build relationships with employers and external stakeholders to support industry engagement.
Contribute to curriculum development to ensure programmes remain relevant and responsive to sector demands.
Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.

Essential Requirements

Experience delivering high-quality teaching and achieving strong learner outcomes.
Knowledge of curriculum planning, assessment and quality processes.
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
Sound knowledge of safeguarding, equality and diversity, and health and safety requirements.
Experience delivering specialist Computing subjects such as Programming, Networking, Web Development or Cyber Security.
Strong digital literacy and the ability to incorporate technology into teaching practice.

Desirable Requirements

Previous industry experience within the digital or technology sector.
Experience teaching Higher Education programmes.
Knowledge of emerging technologies, including cloud services, software development or game design.
Experience delivering programmes across a range of qualification levels.
