Lecturer in Uniformed Services

Join our FE College in the highly successful Uniformed Services department. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer to deliver high-quality training and education to young people aspiring to careers in the Police, Armed Services, Fire Brigade, Ambulance, and Security Services. This role includes comprehensive teacher training for candidates who are not yet qualified teachers.

• Teach a range of programmes related to Policing and Uniformed Services, from NCFE Levels 1 - 5 to Higher National Diploma (HE).
• Participate in outdoor and residential activities, contributing to the development of practical skills among students.
• Deliver and support fitness training sessions as part of the curriculum.
• Drive a minibus for student transportation to various training locations (training provided if not already qualified).
• Engage and motivate students aged 16-19, preparing them for successful careers in uniformed public services or progression into higher education.

• Minimum qualification of Level 3 in a relevant field.
• Work experience in the Police, other emergency services, or the Armed Services.
• Teaching or training experience is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with young people.
• Willingness to undertake teacher training if not already qualified (fully funded by the college).
• Ability to drive a minibus or willingness to undertake training.
