Lecturer / Technician - Vocational Studies

We are seeking skilled trade professionals and vocational educators for a range of permanent Lecturer and Technician positions at a well-established college in Cambridge. Opportunities are available across Plumbing, Electrical, Construction and other trade disciplines. Full-time, Monday to Friday (08:30-17:30). Applicants must have a valid Right to Work in the UK and ideally hold a clean Enhanced DBS. Industry professionals looking to transition into education are welcome to apply.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday
08:30am - 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons to students.
Support learners in developing industry-relevant skills.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
Assist with workshop management and equipment maintenance (Technician roles).
Promote high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.

Requirements

Industry experience within your specialist trade.
Relevant vocational qualifications.
Previous teaching or training experience would be advantageous, although industry professionals looking to move into education are encouraged to apply.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Essential Criteria

Valid Right to Work in the UK.
Clear/Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Reliable, professional and passionate about developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
