We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lecturer to lead and manage students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Autism. This role involves delivering tailored courses and coordinating the work of support staff to ensure high-quality, inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the education of students with PMLD, SLD, and Autism, delivering the curriculum to meet their diverse needs
• Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement individualised curriculum programmes that integrate physical, academic, social, and emotional development
• Coordinate and support the work of teaching assistants and other staff involved in students’ learning
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in special educational needs and inclusive teaching
• Continuously review and assess personal and departmental performance, engaging in professional development and collaborative pedagogic discussions
• Promote equal opportunities and inclusive practice to meet individual learner needs
• Comply with all relevant college policies and participate constructively in college activities
• Maintain flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the education sector

Working Hours:
36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

• Strong subject knowledge and pedagogic expertise in working with learners with PMLD, SLD, and Autism
• Commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to deliver holistic education that addresses the full spectrum of student needs
