Family Law Team Assistant

Near Romford, Essex

Our client, a well-established law firm based near Romford, Essex, is seeking a proactive and experienced Family Law Team Assistant to join their dynamic team. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to the firm's family law solicitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day administrative and legal support to lawyers in the Family Law department.
• Manage busy diaries, arrange travel, book events, and prepare meeting materials.
• Conduct conflict checks, ID verifications, and money laundering procedures.
• Handle digital dictation (BigHand), audio and copy typing, document drafting, and form completion.
• Communicate with clients and third parties professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate data entry and case management through P4W (Partners for Windows).
• Carry out legal research and assist with general office support as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a law firm, ideally within a family law department.
• Strong working knowledge of family law, terminology, and legal procedures.
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with P4W (Partners for Windows) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with legal software such as BigHand, Oyez, and Land Registry platforms.
