Job Description - Legal Assistant

A progressive and well-regarded law firm in Altrincham is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in either commercial law or conveyancing who is looking to develop their career in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

About the Role Working closely with experienced lawyers, you’ll provide key support across a busy caseload. Depending on your background, you’ll gain exposure to:

Drafting, reviewing and formatting contracts, agreements, and legal documentation
Liaising with clients, solicitors, lenders, and third-party professionals
Conducting legal research and preparing client-facing documents
File management and administrative support for fee earners
Assisting with compliance, post-completion tasks, and regulatory requirements
Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders

Candidate Profile

Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, ideally in commercial or conveyancing law
Strong organisational and communication skills
High attention to detail with the ability to work to deadlines
Confident using legal technology and Microsoft Office
A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
