Legal Assistant

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: £26,000 - 28,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time or Part time

The Role

Are you an organised and detail-focused Legal Assistant looking to develop your career within a highly regarded legal environment?

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and professional individual to join a busy legal team based in Bournemouth. Working alongside experienced legal professionals, you will provide essential administrative and client support, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day legal processes.

You will play a key role in assisting with case management, preparing legal documentation, maintaining accurate records and providing an excellent level of service to clients. This role would suit someone with previous legal administration experience or someone looking to progress their career within the legal sector.

Key Responsibilities of the Legal Assistant:

Provide comprehensive administrative support to solicitors and legal professionals
Assist with the preparation, formatting and review of legal documents
Manage correspondence, emails and telephone enquiries professionally
Maintain accurate client records and update case management systems
Support with client onboarding, compliance checks and documentation
Prepare reports, letters and other legal paperwork as required
Monitor deadlines and ensure key dates are recorded accurately
Liaise with clients, third parties and internal teams
Arrange meetings, appointments and support diary management
Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the department
Experience of the Legal Assistant:

Previous experience within a legal administration or professional services environment desirable
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident managing multiple priorities and working to deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional telephone manner and client-focused approach
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
CILEX qualification or legal studies would be advantageous but not essential, with the opportunity and full support provided to work towards a CILEX qualification for the right candidate.
