About the Role:
As a Legal Assistant within the commercial property team, you will provide essential administrative and file management support to fee earners, helping to ensure smooth progression of transactions. You will be a key point of contact for clients, keeping them informed and supported throughout their matters. Your work will contribute to efficient case handling, accurate documentation, and a consistently professional client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Support fee earners with the day-to-day management of commercial property files from instruction to completion Prepare, format and proofread legal documents, correspondence and reports related to property transactions Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including telephone calls, emails and letters, ensuring prompt and professional client contact Maintain organised electronic and paper filing systems, ensuring all documents are accurately filed, indexed and easily retrievable Coordinate key dates, deadlines and appointments, including diary management and scheduling meetings Carry out routine property-related administrative tasks such as opening and closing files, drafting standard letters and updating case management systems Liaise with clients, solicitors, agents and other third parties to obtain information, chase documentation and provide updates on case progress Key Requirements:
Proven administrative experience within a legal or professional services environment Experience working within property law, either residential or commercial Strong client communication skills, with a professional and confident telephone manner Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate documentation and maintain error-free records Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a structured and efficient manner Competent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office and case management systems Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, using initiative to support fee earners effectively If you are a detail-focused Legal Assistant with property experience looking for a permanent Monday to Friday, 9–5 role in Chester, we’d like to hear from you.
