Job Description - Legal Assistant - Commercial Property

HCB Widdows Mason is seeking a driven and detail-orientated Legal Assistant to join our Commercial Property team. This role provides an outstanding opportunity for individuals eager to support clients in commercial property transactions while developing expertise in this dynamic area of law. Comprehensive training will be offered to suitable candidates.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing client inquiries and providing updates on commercial property transactions.
  • Assisting in the opening and closing of files in line with firm policies and legal standards.
  • Drafting and preparing necessary legal documentation, correspondence, and reports.
  • Conducting legal research related to commercial property laws and regulations.
  • Supporting solicitors in negotiations and providing administrative assistance during transactions.
  • Maintaining accurate record-keeping within our case management system.
  • Performing general administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and handling correspondence.
  • Providing occasional reception cover as required.
  • Strong organisational and time management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and an ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Previous experience in a legal or commercial property environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
