Job Description - Legal Assistant New Build & Shared Ownership (Fixed Term Contract)

Acting as a trusted advisor to individuals, businesses and local authorities, the solicitors and support staff at Holmes & Hills take the time to understand clients’ objectives before delivering practical advice through a personal and accessible approach.
THE ROLE Covering Maternity leave in a 1 year fixed term contract you will work in a fast-paced conveyancing department which specialises in new build and shared ownership transactions. You will be speaking with clients and referrers on a daily basis whilst progressing their files. You will work closely with the New Build team to provide administrative support to this business area.
THE DAY TO DAY:
Assisting on the acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold property for New Build and Shared Ownership
Assisting in dealing with financial arrangements related to property acquisitions on behalf of buyer / lender including mortgage arrangements and Gifts
To create and coordinate correspondence and document files for each individual client matter according to the standards laid down by the firm and other governing bodies
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and with other professional contacts
Assist fee earners in promotion and marketing activities of the team
WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
To be successful in this role you should have strong experience of a legal admin role ideally within a conveyancing team.

The A12 Commercial Hub offers colleagues free parking, agile working space, and easy access by road (being based on J25 of the A12) or train (500m from Marks Tey train station).
