Legal Assistant / Paralegal - Residential Conveyancing

Location - Guildford
Salary - Up to 28,000pa DOE

Due to rural location, you must have your own transport!

A fantastic opportunity for a graduate seeking to join an established Surrey-based law firm is looking to recruit a Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join their Residential Property team.

Working alongside an experienced Residential Property Associate, you will provide day-to-day legal and administrative support while developing your knowledge and experience within residential conveyancing.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working within a small, busy and friendly team, is highly organised and is confident taking ownership of tasks to support the wider department.

Key Responsibilities

Providing administrative and legal support throughout the residential conveyancing process
Carrying out property searches
Preparing completion statements
Assisting with pre- and post-completion work
Preparing accurate and timely correspondence and documentation
Assisting with the management and maintenance of client files
Supporting the smooth progression of property transactions from instruction through to completion
Producing documents independently and accurately
Liaising with clients and third parties by telephone and in person
Providing a professional and high level of client serviceRequirements

Previous experience working within a Residential Property / Residential Conveyancing team
Good understanding of the residential conveyancing process
Excellent attention to detail
Fast and accurate typing skills
Experience using a legal case management system
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong team player who is happy to take ownership of tasks
Friendly and professional approach
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience with digital audio / dictation software would be advantageous
