Job Description - Legal cashier

Our client:

Our client is a growing law firm in Bishop's Stortford where technology and modern outlook is at the heart of what they do. We are looking for 2 new legal cashier's to grow with the firm.

The role:

Finance is a vital function of the firm, ensuring smooth business operations and high standard of services to both internal and external clients. This is an opportunity to join an exciting, high growth, fast paced business which is approaching an inflexion point in its journey and development.

Main Duties:

Inputting daily conveyancing and re-mortgage payments/completions
Final checks and quality control of completions
Manually entering payments on the Tikit system and onto Barclays
Monitoring bank statements for various accounts
Communicating with relevant departments regarding payments in.
Billing for various files
Bank reconciliations for accounts
Dealing with Land Registry invoices for accounts
Entering and paying referral and search fees for Tikit files.
Keeping up to date with Out of date cheques/returned cheques
Dealing with Money on account/communicating with post completions to clear ledgers
Helping with payments on system when needed.
Aid with investigations and archiving processes

The Successful candidate:

Excellent Communication skills
Ability to work quickly in a pressured, fast paced environment
Willingness to learn (training is provided if no experience)
Experience processing large quantity of data desirable
Excellent attention to detail

What's on offer?

Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience
Hybrid working Bishop's Stortford 2/3 days
