Legal Cashier

A well-established and respected law firm in Bolton is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its busy accounts department. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to take the next step in their legal accounts career, with the chance to gain exposure across all areas of a thriving legal finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing outgoing payments including BACS, CHAPS, Faster Payments, and cheques

• Preparing and authorising electronic bank transfers across multiple offices

• Ensuring full compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations

• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

• Managing shared finance inboxes and responding to internal queries

• Assisting with monthly financial reporting and reconciliation tasks

Candidate Requirements:

• Prior experience in a Legal Cashier or similar legal finance role

• Strong understanding of SAR and AML regulatory requirements

• Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail

• Confident working independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
