Legal Cashier

Pentagon Talent have partnered with a prestigious and globally recognised top 50 law firm to recruit a detail-driven and experienced Legal Cashier to join their high-performing finance team in their Manchester office. As a Legal Cashier operating within the legal sector, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering a first-class internal client experience.

This role offers very flexible working with 3 days at home and 2 days in their office.

Key Responsibilities:
· Process client and office account payments, including domestic and international transactions
· Perform regular client bank reconciliations in line with firm policies and SAR
· Manage ledger entries for incoming funds and ensure accurate allocation
· Monitor and action transfers between client and office accounts
· Handle treasury, FX transactions, and general cashiering duties as required

The ideal Legal Cashier will:
· Bring practical experience in client accounting and legal cashiering, preferably within the legal sector
· Demonstrate strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and best practices
· Be confident handling payment processing, reconciliations, and inter-account transfers
· Maintain professionalism and a proactive approach when liaising with internal and external stakeholders
· Have strong MS Office skills and a working knowledge of legal accounting systems
