Legal Cashier

FRS are recruiting a Legal Cashier to join a modern, dynamic and ever growing Law Firm based near Redditch.

The firm are seeking a detail oriented & reliable individual to join their Finance team within a dynamic law firm environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day to day financial operations of the firm, ensuring compliance with internal policies, client account regulations & industry standards.

Duties Will Include

• Process all CHAPS, international, and Faster Payments accurately and within the firm’s established deadlines
• Operate Bankline in accordance with firm procedures and regulatory requirements
• Execute a range of financial transfers in line with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules
• Accurately record anticipated and actual disbursements to the ledger, ensuring the accounting system reflects current and correct data in accordance with firm policy
• Generate and issue client bills daily, ensuring full compliance with billing procedures and client instructions
• Process credit notes, write-offs, cancellations and foreign invoices as required
• Post all receipts promptly & accurately alongside reconciling card payments received

Suitable Applicants Will Have / Be

• Previous experience working in a legal finance or professional services environment is essential
• Familiarity with legal accounting practices and the SRA Accounts Rules
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy
• Able to manage workload effectively, meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast paced legal environment
