Legal Cashier

To undertake accounting and bookkeeping duties within the firm in accordance with SRA Accounts Rules.

• Recording financial transactions on the computer system
• Preparation/processing of cheques
• Paying invoices authorised
• Liaison with bankers as instructed
• Bookkeeping and accounts maintenance in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules, Quality Procedures Manual and Lexcel/CQS requirements.
• Proper maintenance and secure storage of confidential financial information including statements of the firm's bank and other accounts
• Credit control activities
• Dealing with accounts-related enquiries and correspondence
• Housekeeping arrangements
• Maintenance of the petty cash system
• File closure and archive activities
• Compliance with SRA Code of Conduct and SRA Accounts Rules
• Contributing to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment
• Contribute to maintaining and improving office procedures
• Ensuring compliance with Equality and Diversity Policy
• Any other duties which from time to time are required by the firm
