Legal Cashier

This international law firm has over 20 global offices delivering a full range of legal services, especially those of a complex, high-profile and multi-jurisdictional nature. Their core sectors are aviation, insurance and reinsurance, international trade and energy and shipping.

Their Surrey Finance Department is looking to hire a Legal Cashier, on a full-time permanent basis. This is a busy role undertaking legal cashiering and client accounting services for multiple internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process all domestic and overseas payment of funds from both client and office accounts.
• Client bank reconciliations to the agreed timetable.
• Process appropriate ledger entries for all client and office funds receipted direct into the firm’s bank accounts.
• Monitor and action all transfers between client and office account in accordance with SARs/internal policies.
• Money Market/Treasury and FX transactions.
• Review and maintain balances held on client account to include regular meetings with partners/ case-handlers.
• Dealing with client enquiries and any other ad hoc duties as necessary.

Candidate Profile

• You will have legal cashiering experience within a law firm or professional services.
• Hands-on client accounting experience is essential.
• Experience of Elite Enterprise software, or similar, will be an advantage.
