Legal Cashier Manager – Highly Regarded Central London Law Firm

Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking to take the next step in your career? If you are, there is the chance to join this well-established and highly regarded law firm in Central London. It is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Legal Cashier Manager to join its busy finance team.

The Role:

This is a senior position where you’ll take full ownership of the cashiering function in a fast-paced legal environment. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and collaborate with other finance professionals to ensure smooth financial operations. The role requires someone who is confident working independently, has a deep understanding of Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and is comfortable advising colleagues and clients on financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily bank reconciliations and banking
• Client billing and processing bank transactions
• Purchase ledger and petty cash management
• Posting cheques, staff expenses and credit card transactions
• Month-end journals and year-end close
• Liaising with auditors during SRA audits
• Internal account transfers and referral scheme payments
• Ad hoc financial support to partners and fee earners

Essential Experience:

• 4–5 years’ legal cashiering experience, both client and office accounts
• Strong billing and VAT knowledge
• Proficiency in Excel and Word
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Positive, “can-do” attitude
