An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Cashier to join a dynamic International Law Firm in Central London. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in legal finance and a thorough understanding of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules (SARS).

Please only apply if you have previous experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm. This is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Process client transactions (incoming/outgoing payments)
Post and check bills, credit notes, and credit card payments
Log disbursements and counsel fee invoices
Handle international payments and disbursement payments
Manage matter closures and write-offs
Open supplier accounts
Manage retained funds and ensure timely return to clients
Maintain accurate financial records (banking, transfers, petty cash)
Calculate client interest
Provide and update client statements
Assist with month-end and year-end procedures
Produce time reports
Contact suppliers for statements of accounts

The person:

High attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and manage workload
Meet deadlines and multitask effectively
Confident and cheerful demeanor

Education & Experience:

GCSEs or equivalent (A-C in Maths and English)
Minimum 2 years experience in a law firm
Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
Strong IT skills, especially Excel
Experience with accounting/practice management systems (ideally P4W)
