Legal Compliance Assistant

Our client, a leading US Law Firm who are experiencing an impressive period of growth is seeking a Legal Compliance Assistant to join their team, on a full-time, permanent basis.

Due to increased demand our client is looking for a Legal Compliance Assistant to join the internal Risk and Compliance team, where you will provide administrative support to the Compliance function within the firm, ensuring the firm meets it’s obligations under the AML and CTF regulations.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a Compliance role, ideally from a Law firm although other industries will be considered, and would ideally have knowledge of AML legislation and SRA rules.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop an understanding of the Firm’s AML / CTF Compliance policies

* Assist with Client Due Diligence

* Provide support to Lawyers in complying with the Firm’s AML policies, controls and procedures

* Assist maintaining the Compliance Unit intranet page

* Contribute to internal audits, investigations and reporting relating to compliance risks

Key Experience:

* Minimum of 12 years’ experience in a Compliance / AML role would be desirable

* Experience working in a Law firm would be ideal, although not essential and other industries will be considered

* Solid understanding of AML and CTF regulations

* Excellent communicator, confident working with colleagues and clients of all levels

* Able to work both independently and as part of the wider team

* Knowledge of SRA Rules would be advantageous

You will be joining an internal Compliance department to provide a high-level of support, focusing on AML / CTF compliance policies, working with industry experts in a fast-paced environment.
