H9 Talent Solutions are exclusively working with an international renewable energy developer is looking for a Legal Counsel to join their expanding team. This is a high-impact, hands-on role offering the chance to work across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage development to financial close, on a diverse portfolio of global energy projects.

You’ll be joining a mission-led, agile business where legal is embedded into commercial decision-making. If you’re someone who likes to roll their sleeves up and get involved in everything (yes, even the unglamorous bits), and you bring a commercial mindset to legal challenges, this could be the perfect move.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and project-related agreements (e.g. land options, NDAs, consultancy contracts, grid connection docs, etc.)
• Support on corporate structuring and project finance, including investment agreements, SPVs, and due diligence.
• Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders and contribute to risk management across the business.
• Assist with joint ventures, acquisitions, and international projects as required.
• Coordinate with external counsel in multiple jurisdictions.
• Contribute to internal legal process improvements and compliance frameworks.

What We're Looking For

• UK-qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with around 4–5 years' PQE (flexible for right person)
• Strong commercial contracts experience, ideally gained in energy, infrastructure, or a related industry.
• Experience in project and/or corporate finance is highly desirable.
• A self-starter who’s happy to take on a mix of high-level strategy and day-to-day legal work.
• Confident working autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
