Legal Counsel

• Provide legal and contractual support to the Tendering activities of the Company including
• Review, qualification and negotiation of Terms and Conditions of Contract.
• Liaison with Company’s Insurers to ensure alignment between Contract provisions and existing global policies.
• Liaison with Finance and Legal departments  regarding security bonds and guarantees.
• Provide legal and contractual support to the Project execution activities of the Company including;
• Provide guidance and support into the resolution of contractual and commercial disputes with Clients.
• Ensure that contractual and legal documents are prepared in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Legal Management of Variation Orders .
• Provide legal and contractual support to the Procurement activities of the Company including ;
• Assessing the validity of Subcontractor VOR claims.
• Provide advice and support in relation to the establishment of supplier agreements and placement of PO's.

•  Provide legal advice and support to the Company covering areas including (but not limited to) corporate, insurance, contract, dispute resolution, employment, migration and injury management (as and if required).

Education:

Relevant law degree

Experience / Knowledge:

• Significant relevant experience in a senior   legal roleajor company  preferably within the international energy industry and/or from recognized law firms.
• Strong legal knowledge and understanding of contract law
• Strong negotiations skills combined with commercial understanding.
• Analytical and structured, with the ability to work independently and within short deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable working within an international team of professionals

• Within the DOF Group (internal):
• Global Legal, Tax and Insurance Function (Legal department DOF Group)
• ·Multiple Departmental Heads but specifically Commercial, Projects and Procurement.

Outside the DOF Group (external):

• Client
• Sub-contractors
• Company's Insurers
