Legal Counsel - Privacy & Digital Trust

Advising on a broad range of privacy, data compliance, AI and cyber regulations across a diverse range of matters including products, services, solutions, marketing campaigns and technology; Providing effective and timely advice relating to internal requests for disclosure and use of data; Monitoring regulatory/legislative developments and drafting and updating company policies, processes and precedents as required; Legal review and support for key group processes. Building awareness of, and delivering training to, stakeholders on data regulations, data protection and privacy issues Supporting the development of efficiencies and legal innovation within areas of responsibility and wider group privacy including, but not limited, to digitalisation and automation of key processes and other activities. Good understanding of telecommunications and OTT business strategies and operations. Ability to analyse and effectively communicate key strategic implications Project management skills Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and public speaking skills including advocacy; Comfortable working in a matrix organisation with tolerance for ambiguity. Persistence to drive change over time. Results oriented, proactive, responsible, pragmatic and ethical person with a passion for privacy, digital ethics, Responsible AI and interest in technologies and their societal impact. Legal Qualification, at least 1-2 year of relevant expertise. Good knowledge of the laws governing privacy, cybersecurity and law enforcement assistance. At least 2 years of previous experience within the Tech or Telco industries, within a multinational matrix organisation and / or private practice.
