Salary: £23,000-£24,000 per annum

TSR Legal is working with a well-regarded, forward-thinking law firm in Exeter, seeking a bright and motivated individual to join their finance team in a junior capacity.

About the Role

As a Legal Finance Assistant / Legal Cashier, you’ll be given full training and hands-on experience to support the firm's busy Finance department. You’ll play an important role in ensuring that legal transactions are processed smoothly and that both client and internal financial systems remain compliant and efficient.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with processing payments including BACS, CHAPS, and international transfers
• Supporting the team with daily bank reconciliations and account updates
• Helping to prepare and process invoices
• Monitoring and inputting financial data into the firm's systems
• Learning to understand compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
• Communicating professionally with lawyers, clients, and external bodies
• Developing your knowledge of VAT, interest calculations, and financial reporting
• Providing admin and cashiering support to the wider Finance team

What We’re Looking For

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or junior professional who is:

? Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) - ideally in Law, Finance, Accounting, or Business
? Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
? Confident using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
? Able to communicate clearly and work well in a team
? Keen to learn and develop a career in legal finance
? Discreet and professional when dealing with sensitive information

No prior legal cashiering experience is required - full training will be provided.
