An excellent vacancy has become available for a seasoned Legal Secretary specialising in property transactions to join a close-knit, welcoming, and supportive legal firm. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being an integral part of a small team, is hands-on, and brings both know-how and initiative to their work.
The chosen applicant will predominantly provide assistance to one of the firm’s legal professionals, while also offering support to colleagues across the practice when required. This role is pivotal in ensuring the property transfer process runs seamlessly and efficiently. It goes well beyond traditional secretarial tasks, making it perfect for someone who likes to be involved in all phases of the client experience.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Offering comprehensive support on residential property matters to the legal practitioner
Handling digital dictation, document drafting, and maintaining case files
Opening and closing case files, preparing engagement documents, and verifying identification in line with anti-money laundering requirements
Communicating with clients, estate agencies, and legal representatives via telephone and email
Managing schedules, linking post, and maintaining the calendar for completions
Helping with general administrative tasks, document copying, and handling calls

Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience within residential conveyancing
Proficient in all areas of conveyancing administration beyond just typing
