Job Description - Legal Secretary

Legal Secretary/Assistance | Bournemouth | upto £28,000 DOE

As Legal Secretary you’ll be an integral part of the team within a local prestigious solicitor firm with multiple practices across Dorset.

Situated within the Bournemouth branch, as Legal Secretary you’ll provide support within the Residential Conveyancing department as well providing other general administrative support across the team.

Legal Secretary responsibilities: -

  • Taking charge of files in preperation for completion
  • Managing all post completion correspondance
  • Dealing with completed registration
  • Closing files and sending deeds to storage
  • Assisting with clients, taking telephone calls and taking messages or providing assistance wherever possible
  • Sending and processing invoices
  • Provide general secretarial support to help progress client files
  • Setting up and completing a matter including bills/telegraphic transfer etc.

Legal Secretary Skills & Experience required: -

  • At least 3 years previous administrative/secretarial support experience ideally within a legal firm, property based company or professional services dealing with clients of high net work
  • Strong accuracy skills
  • The ability to efficiently manage and organise a busy workload
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong typing and audio typing skills
  • A positive and friendly outlook
