Newstaff Employment Services is seeking a diligent and organised Legal Secretary to join the Private Client practice area of this successful law firm.
In this pivotal role, you will provide essential secretarial support to solicitors in the Private Client team.
Your responsibilities will include managing documents, preparing legal correspondence, and maintaining accurate filing systems. As the first point of contact for clients, you will play a crucial role in upholding their commitment to exceptional service and confidentiality.

Responsibilities
Draft and prepare legal documents, letters, and reports.
Maintain and organize client files and documentation in compliance with legal standards.
Manage correspondence and communication with clients, courts, and other parties.
Assist solicitors with scheduling appointments, meetings, and court hearings.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information as required.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with legal protocols in all tasks.
Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed.
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm.
Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Fast, accurate typing and audio typing experience is required
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Car owner preferred but not essential.
Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm. One hour for lunch. Office based.
