Legal Secretary

Job Description

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary who is diligent, self-motivated and a fast learner. You will ideally have experience working in a similar role and be able to hit the ground running.

You must have technical knowledge commensurate to their level of experience as well as a pro-active approach to risk management, a willingness to learn and a good knowledge of property transactions.

Client care is a priority, and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate when they have gone over and above to provide a top-quality service to the client. You will be keen to progress and grow within the department. Relevant professional training will be provided and career development opportunities are available to the right
candidate.

Essential and Desired Skills

Experience in property transactions - Minimum 5 years
Freehold and Leasehold sales and purchases
Re- Mortgages and re-finances including properties in companies.
New Build purchases
Buy to Let (including Company) purchases and re-finances.
Registration including companies house and Land Registry
Drafting and Filing of SDLT Returns
Experience in drafting reports on title and reports on mortgage
Dealing with replies to pre-contract enquiries
Drafting lender standard documents
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Be able to demonstrate confidence and self-motivation.
Able to work to strict deadlines and in a pressurised environment.
Attention to detail is essential.
IT literate.

Salary £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
