Legal Secretary - Wills & Inheritance

  • Location: Wokingham or Farnham, UK
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 (Depending on Experience)

We are seeking a Legal Secretary to join our Wills and Inheritance Team. This role involves providing essential secretarial support within the department, focusing on delivering exceptional client service and maintaining high standards of organisation and confidentiality.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Wills and Inheritance Team.
  • Manage communications with clients, ensuring all interactions are handled with high professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Organise and maintain diaries, ensuring efficient scheduling of appointments and meetings.
  • Handle document preparation, audio and copy typing, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Utilise modern IT systems effectively, including Tikit (Partner for Windows), for document management and other secretarial tasks.
  • Assist in the maintenance of client files, ensuring they are up-to-date and comply with legal standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a Wills and Inheritance or Private Client department.
  • Excellent client care skills with a commitment to providing high-quality service.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in modern IT systems, with experience in Tikit (Partner for Windows) being advantageous.
  • Competent in both audio and copy typing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality.
