Legal Support Services Team Leader Location: Shrewsbury, Telford, Hereford or Oswestry Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 DOE We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm for an experienced Legal Support Services Team Leader to join their leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual to lead a central legal support function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality administrative and client support services across the business. Key Responsibilities * Lead, manage and support the Legal Support Services team, including legal administrative assistants, client services and telephony staff. * Oversee the day-to-day operation of the shared legal support function, ensuring an efficient and accurate service is provided. * Monitor team performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and service standards, taking appropriate action where required. * Ensure administrative workflows are completed accurately and within agreed timescales to support legal teams across the firm. * Supervise front-of-house reception and client service functions, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for clients and visitors. * Oversee the timely transcription of legal dictation using speech recognition technology. * Review and monitor the opening and processing of new client and matter files, ensuring compliance with internal procedures. * Ensure post-completion and file management processes are completed accurately and efficiently. * Oversee the input, maintenance and storage of electronic documentation within the firm's practice and document management systems. * Manage the archiving of closed files in accordance with firm procedures. * Ensure third-party practice management systems are utilised effectively and to a high standard. * Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and service delivery. Key Skills and Experience * Previous experience in a legal support, legal administration or operational management role within a professional services environment. * Proven experience leading, motivating and developing a team. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships. * High level of accuracy and attention to detail. * Strong IT skills, including experience with practice management, document management and speech recognition systems. * Ability to analyse workloads, monitor performance and implement process improvements. * A proactive, solution-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills. * Commitment to delivering outstanding service to both internal and external clients.
