Job Description - Legal Talent Development Manager

You will be a former or current lawyer who is passionate about career development, people strategy, and organisational growth. Whether you've worked in litigation, finance, commercial, or any other legal practice area, your experience will help you understand the needs, challenges, and ambitions of lawyers at all levels. You will play a central role in shaping the careers of talented lawyers, supporting them through training, feedback, and strategic work allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support allocation and resource planning across a specific practice group.
  • Build trusted relationships with lawyers across all levels to support their development and career progression.
  • Coordinate and advise on performance reviews, feedback loops, and career coaching.
  • Design, deliver and collaborate on training and mentoring initiatives with internal and external partners.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and lateral integration alongside the wider HR and recruitment teams.

Experience required:

  • At least 5 years' experience as a practising lawyer in any discipline.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with a genuine interest in people development.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
