Location: Maidstone Leisure Centre, ME15 7RN

Salary: £27,774.28 plus excellent benefits

Schedule: 40 hours per week, flexible to work earlies, lates and weekends, between the hours 6am -10.30pm.

As a Leisure Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone who visits the centre. Supporting day-to-day operations and stepping in for the Duty Manager when required, you'll help deliver excellent customer experiences while maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness and service. Your work has purpose, helping to create a positive impact on communities by encouraging healthier lifestyles and ensuring leisure facilities remain accessible and enjoyable for all.

What you’ll do as a Leisure Supervisor

• Supervise daily activities within the leisure centre, ensuring customer safety and excellent service standards at all times.


• Support the Duty Manager and provide operational cover during periods of absence.


• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and equipment setup across the facility.


• Promote and follow all health and safety procedures, policies and relevant legislation.


• Build positive relationships with customers and local authority partners, helping to deliver a welcoming environment.


• Support the achievement of operational and performance targets while identifying opportunities for improvement.

Does this sound like you?

• Experience working in a customer-facing environment with a strong commitment to customer care.


• Ability to remain calm, responsive and vigilant in busy or challenging situations.


• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with people of all ages and abilities.


• A positive, team-focused approach with a willingness to learn and develop.


• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (or equivalent) and experience in a supervisory role are desirable.

Vetting Checks

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
