Temporary Lettings Officer

Location: East Midlands
Rate: Competitive hourly rate
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: 3 Months (High Likelihood of Extension)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lettings Officer to join a busy housing team on an interim basis.

This is an immediate opportunity for someone with a strong background in housing allocations and lettings, who can hit the ground running and support the team during a busy period.

Key Responsibilities

Manage property allocations in line with relevant policies and procedures.

*

Carry out pre-tenancy assessments and ensure applicants meet eligibility criteria.

*

Conduct property viewings and tenancy sign-ups.

*

Liaise with prospective tenants and provide advice throughout the lettings process.

*

Ensure all relevant documentation and tenancy records are completed accurately.

*

Work proactively to minimise void periods and support efficient property turnaround.

*

Deliver a customer-focused lettings service.

Essential Requirements

*

Previous experience working as a Lettings Officer or within a similar housing role.

*

Strong experience in property allocations.

*

Proven experience carrying out pre-tenancy assessments.

*

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as the role involves travelling across the patch for viewings and sign-ups.

*

Basic DBS check required.

*

Excellent communication, organisation and customer service skills.

*

Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.

The Opportunity
