Level 2 3 Teaching Assistants - Special Needs

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant ready to make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners with complex needs?

We are recruiting Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join a highly regarded specialist provision supporting pupils aged 4 to 11 years with a range of severe, profound and complex learning difficulties, including significant medical needs.

? Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality support to pupils across a variety of needs, including PMLD and SLD

Assist with individual learning programmes in line with EHCPs

Support pupils with communication, physical needs, and emotional regulation

Carry out personal care and support with medical routines (full training provided)

Foster a positive, stimulating, and safe environment for all learners

? You Will Need:

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), especially those with complex learning and/or medical needs

Previous experience in a special school or SEN unit

A patient, proactive and nurturing approach

Willingness to support personal care and medical interventions

?? Desirable:

Experience using communication aids such as Makaton or PECS

Training in moving & handling, or Team Teach
