This Level 2 Engineering Apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and learning new skills. You’ll gain real industry experience while earning and working towards a recognised qualification.

Apprenticeship Overview:

• Salary: £11,778 per year


• Working Week: Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm. (1 hour break)


• Duration: 18 months


• Hours: 30 hours per week


• Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship standard qualification

Duties: 

• The manual handling of propshafts and associated parts.
• Inspecting and diagnosing customers shafts.
• Using various hand tools.
• Replacing or repairing joints, bearings, bushes, flanges and any other components as directed.
• Operating rotating wire wheel and grinding wheel machines.
• Assembling complete shafts to specific dimensions.
• Operating lathes and presses.
• MIG welding.
• Operating the dynamic balancing machine.
• Spray painting.
• Wrapping and packing items for despatch.
• Sweeping and keeping clean the facility.
