Seeking Level 2 Teaching Assistants (SEND)!

Tradewind Recruitment are in partnership with an Outstanding special school in Dudley which provides high quality education and care for pupils aged 4 to 19 years with severe and profound learning difficulties (SLD), (PMLD), including those with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and complex medical needs.

We are seeking those who are confident and have proven experience with challenging behaviours.

? Your Role Will Include:

Supporting pupils with significant learning needs both in and out of the classroom

Providing tailored 1:1 and group support, guided by EHCPs

Assisting with personal care, mobility and medical needs as required

Using a range of communication aids and sensory strategies

Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals

? You Will Need:

A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND in a special school or specialist provision, including PMLD, SLD, ASC, or complex needs

Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and supporting emotional regulation

A calm, caring, and patient approach

Willingness to assist with personal care and medical routines

?? Desirable:

Manual handling or Team Teach training

Knowledge of Makaton, PECS or other communication tools
