Level 3 Teaching Assistant

NextGen Teachers are currently working with a day nursery based in LS17 who are currently recruiting for a qualified Teaching Assistant. As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching staff in delivering high-quality education. You will work closely with pupils-both individually and in groups-to help them reach their full potential, and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

• Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons and activities
• Support individual pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEN)
• Deliver small group interventions to help boost learning
• Monitor and report on pupil progress
• Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities

• Level 3 in childcare/ child development
• Experience working in a primary/nursery school setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, caring and flexible approach to supporting pupils
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
• An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
• The right to work in the UK
• Two professional references
