Are you a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping children and young people thrive?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive education setting in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA who wants to make a genuine difference to pupils' learning, confidence, wellbeing and progress.

You will work closely with teachers and the wider education team to provide high-quality learning support, helping pupils access the curriculum and develop the skills they need to succeed.

The Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive learning activities.

Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and develop understanding.

Provide appropriate support for pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.

Use effective strategies such as scaffolding, questioning and differentiated support to help pupils access learning.

Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, independence and confidence.

Observe, assess and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to teaching staff.

Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

Support pupils' social, emotional and pastoral development.

Prepare learning resources and assist with classroom organisation.

Promote positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents/carers and other professionals.

Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures, health and safety requirements and professional expectations.

Contribute to a culture where every child is valued, respected and supported to achieve their potential.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Level 3 qualified in Teaching Assistance, Supporting Teaching & Learning, Education or a relevant equivalent qualification.

Experienced in working with children or young people in an educational setting.

Passionate about inclusive education and supporting individual pupil needs.

Patient, approachable, resilient and emotionally intelligent.

An excellent communicator and team player.

Organised, reliable and able to use initiative.

Confident supporting learning on a one-to-one and small-group basis.

Committed to promoting positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.

Able to build trusting, professional relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism, communication needs or other additional needs would be highly desirable.
