Our client is a well-established property management firm boasting a decades-long history with its Headquarters based in North London and they provide property management services to a large portfolio of properties across the capital and spanning down to the South Coast. The organization is steadily expanding its asset base through a mix of acquiring new properties, building developments and repurposing existing sites.
Key Responsibilities:
As the internal HMO Licensing Manager, you will be instrumental in making sure all residential properties in our client’s portfolio fully comply with licensing standards. Your daily responsibilities will include conducting property audits, communicating with tenants and staff, and tracking safety inspections and maintenance repairs to guarantee regulatory adherence.
Additionally, you will lead a dedicated team of Property Managers and collaborate closely with the broader residential division to provide top-tier service and keep our management systems accurately updated.
* Reviewing housing portfolios to determine mandatory permitting requirements and ensure total adherence to regulatory standards.
* Organizing compliance inspections and securing necessary safety documentation.
* Directing and mentoring a group of property professionals, conducting routine performance reviews, and driving team success.
* Acting as the primary point of contact for renters, external vendors, and maintenance specialists.
* Processing security deposit refunds according to legal guidelines, tracking overdue rent, and mediating conflicts.
* Initiating eviction procedures when all other resolutions have failed, while safeguarding the company against regulatory risks.
Essential Experience / Qualifications and Attributes Required:
* Deep familiarity with Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) licensing protocols to maintain flawless legal compliance.
* A strong dedication to providing top-tier customer support.
* Exceptional organizational abilities and clear communication skills to effectively balance competing priorities.
* Familiarity with property management software is advantageous, though comprehensive training will be provided.
