Lifts & Escalators Design Manager - Major Infrastructure Project

Location: North Acton, London - Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days WFH)
Rate: £550-£650 per day
Contract length: Contract until 20/02/2028
IR35 determination: Inside IR35

We are looking for a Lifts & Escalators Design Manager to join a major infrastructure project in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Lifts & Escalators / MEP design experience who can take ownership of specialist packages and drive them through design, approvals, certification and completion.

You don't necessarily need 20+ years of experience or an extensive Design Management background. We are interested in proactive, technically capable individuals with relevant lifts and escalators experience who are comfortable taking responsibility for packages and working with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
·Manage Lifts & Escalators MEP design packages across the project
·Work closely with the MEP Package Manager and wider project team
·Manage design reviews through approvals, certification and final sign-off
·Coordinate MEP design deliverables and ensure programme requirements are achieved
·Resolve technical and design issues with internal teams, consultants and suppliers
·Ensure designs meet project requirements and achieve design compliance
·Manage specialist lift and escalator suppliers, including organisations such as OTIS and KONE
·Coordinate interfaces between Lifts & Escalators and other MEP, architectural and construction packages
·Drive packages through to successful completion

What We're Looking For:
·Demonstrable Lifts & Escalators experience within design, construction, engineering or package management
·Strong knowledge of MEP and Lifts & Escalators packages
·Experience working on major infrastructure or similarly complex projects
·Experience managing design deliverables, reviews and approvals
·Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills
·Excellent communication and coordination abilities
·A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and get packages "over the line"

CSCS Requirement:
A CSCS White or Black Card will be required. Candidates without a current card must be able to obtain the appropriate card, with MAP booking confirmation required where applicable.
