Light Vehicle Tutor Trafford Park Up to £35,000 per annum Full-time, Permanent Job Description: Are you an experienced Light Vehicle professional with a passion for developing the next generation of automotive technicians? We are looking for a Skills Development Tutor to deliver high-quality training and assessment for Light Vehicle learners at Levels 2 and 3, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes and progress within the automotive industry. This is a centre-based role, with four days dedicated to teaching and learner support and one day allocated to administration and quality activities. Alongside delivering engaging training programmes, you will also support Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activities within the automotive provision, helping to maintain high standards across the curriculum. The role involves:
Delivering engaging, centre-based Light Vehicle training and assessment at Levels 2 and 3 Planning and delivering face-to-face and blended learning programmes that develop learners' knowledge, skills and behaviours Managing a caseload of learners, monitoring progress and supporting timely achievement against agreed KPIs Marking and providing structured feedback on learner work, setting clear actions to support progression Tracking learner progress and maintaining accurate records using digital systems and e-learning platforms Supporting learner engagement, retention and achievement through effective coaching and mentoring Undertaking Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activities within the automotive provision Maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge through continuous professional development Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and risk assessment processes are followed and maintained Supporting continuous improvement and quality standards across the training provisionYou’ll need:
Significant vocational experience within the Light Vehicle automotive sector Experience delivering or assessing Light Vehicle qualifications at Levels 2 and 3 Previous experience in teaching, training, learning and assessment An IQA qualification and/or experience undertaking Internal Quality Assurance activities within automotive training Up-to-date technical knowledge and relevant automotive qualifications A Diploma in Education and Training (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one Knowledge of teaching, learning and quality standards, including Ofsted expectationsDue to the site you will be working at, you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
